Just add this to the mountain of failed barackanomics. Record unemployment, bailouts, foreclosures, bureaucracy, spending, bankruptcies, regulation, government waste, government policy, government employees, private and corporate welfare. It needs to stop. Vote him out!

Let's lay the blame where it belongs - on every politician in DC. Its time they started doing what they were elected to do - work for the good of the people instead of working on how to screw the people.

What's new? Partisan politics prevents rationality, as usual....
Neither side is willing to reign in the out-of-control speculation on Wall Street -- Bickering and finger-pointing takes precedence....Shameful!!

Obama could do much about this: how about authorizing drilling again in the Gulf, and allowing the Keystone Pipeline? Oh, I know, everyone will say the usual: "It won't have a short-term effect." But that isn't right, as much of the gas prices are in futures. Besides, if we never do anything because "it won't have a short-term effect," we'll end up ... well, right where we are now. Having done nothing, not willing to do anything, sitting and watching as the prices rise.

It's always blamed on the sitting president, and each party thinks they're so original when they do so.

Gas prices? How about the economy, unemployment, border security, immigration or his fake birth certificate. This is not the first issue that plagues Obama, and certainly not the only thing to slam Obama with leading up to the elections.

Come on! Obama has no power over gas prices. As a conservative Republican I would not go there. The little people will see right through us as trying to tie something to Obama that he has no power to fix. It would be like trying to blame him for solar flares..

Both parties have presided over rising gas prices. However, every action that Obama has taken with respect to energy has been to cause gas prices to go up.

The only thing that will get their attention is money... The pump price needs to be reduced to a reasonable price like $1.00 to $1.50 per gallon. There needs to be a sure charge on every gallon of exported oil to reflect their outrages increases in pump prices. Eliminate the oil subsidizes and lobbyists to begin with...

Blue48...
Let's talk about economic recovery!
Lets see just in the last few weeks we have had better-than-expected job growth, lower unemployment rates across the US, the housing market continues to improve, a surging stock market (when was the Dow near 13,000 in your memory) and a payroll tax deal that will put more money in the pockets of millions of Americans.
Let's talk about what the President could do!
> Nationalize the Oil & Gas companies, set gas prices each morning over breakfast you would love. > Shield oil companies from paying their fair share of taxes, thus protecting their profits, handouts and subsidies every year. (Oh wait, that is what the Republicans want!) > Invade and eliminate the turmoil in the Middle East. > Invade, take over the nuclear program so as to eliminate tensions with Iran. >Pay off all the European debt. >Magically control the earthquake and tsunami which happened in Japan.
Bottom line...we live in a global economy. Conditions around the world and the price of the dollar are what dictates the price of oil. To open up some of the Oil & Gas reserves we have, is dubious at best; as we are selling Oil overseas at a nice profit since we have lots of it! Oil prices here at home follow global oil prices... it's that simple.
If both Dems AND Repubs really want to "rock" the boat and "prove" that they are not in the pockets of big oil, end the unnecessary subsidies that benefit NO ONE but the oil companies and apply that money toward paying down the debt.
RIGHT NOW. Funny how the GOP bulls eye on President Obama keeps moving; It's the Economy...oops, it's the jobs...oops, the President has done nothing about terrorism...oops, it's rampant welfare...oops, it's Equal Rights...oops, it's Women's Health and contraceptives...oops, Oh Wait!!! Let's go after him about gas prices! YES!!!YES!!! (Speaker Boehner sneering..."We just won't say WE have our hands in the oil pot.")
To quote rx7racerca who nailed it...
"Opening up offshore drilling can contribute to greater oil self-sufficiency for the US, but will not make a significant difference in prices - the potential growth in supply is a drop in the bucket against world demand that is outstripping supply - and since it is a global market, US consumers pay world prices, whether the oil is domestic or imported."
Peace......wisdom.... think for yourself.....

Just watch the stock market and you will see what is going on when the market go up so does the price of gas and home heating oil and then it hit the food prices in the stores.

dlemma: in what ways has Obama been stomping on the Constitution?
Surely, it must occur to you that if the President were violating the Constitution, it would be seized upon as grounds for impeachment, and immediately taken up endlessly by the GOP, drumming the way to the Supreme Court as fast as their lawyers could march? Just as surely, for example, as if there were ever any substance to the birther arguments that the GOP would have made damn sure Obama was turfed before the ballot.
Just because you saw something on the Internet doesn't make it so.
